PortfolioIQ is a portfolio management tool and does NOT provide investment advice. All market data is sourced from third-party providers including yfinance and may contain delays or inaccuracies. We are not responsible for investment decisions made using our platform. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Invest at your own risk and consult a qualified financial advisor.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using PortfolioIQ ("Service," "Platform") operated by PortfolioIQ LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PortfolioIQ LLC.
2. Description of Service
2.1 What We Provide
- Portfolio Analysis: Performance calculations, risk assessments, and analytics
- Rebalancing Tools: Drift detection and rebalancing recommendations
- Market Data: Real-time and historical financial data from third-party sources
- Reports and Insights: Downloadable reports and AI-powered insights
- Notifications: Email and Telegram alerts for portfolio events
2.2 Email Notifications and Consent
By accepting these Terms of Service, you explicitly consent to receive automated email notifications from PortfolioIQ regarding your portfolio rebalancing needs. These notifications include:
- Rebalancing Alerts: Automated emails when your portfolios require rebalancing based on your threshold settings
- Portfolio Updates: Periodic summaries of your portfolio performance and status
- System Notifications: Important updates about our service, security alerts, and maintenance notices
- Welcome Communications: Onboarding emails and service updates for new users
Email Frequency: Rebalancing notifications are sent automatically when portfolio drift exceeds your configured thresholds, typically checked every 10-15 minutes during market hours. You may receive multiple emails per day if multiple portfolios require attention.
Opt-Out Options: You can modify your email notification preferences in your account settings or unsubscribe from non-essential emails. However, critical security and account-related notifications cannot be disabled.
2.3 What We Do NOT Provide
- Investment Advice: We do not recommend specific investments
- Broker Services: We do not execute trades or hold securities
- Financial Planning: We do not provide comprehensive financial planning
- Tax Advice: Our tax features are informational only
- Guaranteed Returns: We make no promises about investment performance
3. Investment and Financial Disclaimers
CRITICAL INVESTMENT WARNINGS
- No Investment Advice: Nothing on this platform constitutes investment advice, recommendations, or solicitation to buy or sell securities
- Market Risk: All investments carry risk of loss, including total loss of principal
- Data Accuracy: Market data from yfinance and other sources may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete

3.1 Data Sources and Limitations
- Third-Party Data: Market data is provided by yfinance, Polygon.io, Alpha Vantage, and other external sources
- No Warranty: We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of market data
- Delays and Errors: Data may be delayed up to 20 minutes and may contain errors
- System Outages: Data feeds may be interrupted due to technical issues
3.2 Calculation Limitations
- Estimates Only: All calculations are estimates based on available data
- Tax Implications: We do not account for your specific tax situation
- Trading Costs: Our calculations may not include all fees and commissions

4. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Uses

- Sharing Accounts: Allowing others to use your account
- Reverse Engineering: Attempting to copy or reverse engineer our algorithms
5. Beta Program and Subscription Plans
BETA PROGRAM TERMS
- Beta Status: PortfolioIQ is currently in Beta testing phase
- Free Access: All subscription plans (Pro, Premium) are currently available at no cost during Beta
- Post-Beta Rights: PortfolioIQ reserves the right to cancel any membership or revert users to free plans when Beta testing concludes
- No Guarantees: Beta features may be incomplete, unstable, or subject to change without notice
- Data Migration: We will make reasonable efforts to preserve user data when transitioning out of Beta
- Notification: Users will receive 30 days advance notice before Beta program concludes
5.1 Subscription Tiers
- Free Tier: Limited features with usage restrictions
- Pro ($9.99/month): Enhanced features and higher limits [FREE DURING BETA]
- Premium ($19.99/month): Full feature access [FREE DURING BETA]
- Enterprise ($49.99/month): Advanced features and support [FREE DURING BETA]
5.2 Billing Terms
- Payment Processing: All payments processed securely through Stripe
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
- Price Changes: We may change prices with 30 days notice
- Failed Payments: Service may be suspended for failed payments
- Refunds: See Section 5.3 below for our complete refund and return policy
5.3 Refund and Return Policy
Trial Period - No Charges
- 7-Day Free Trial: Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial. You will NOT be charged during the trial period.
- Cancel During Trial: Cancel anytime during the 7-day trial and you will NEVER be charged.
- First Charge: Your payment method will only be charged AFTER the 7-day trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
Refund Policy for Paid Subscriptions
- No Refunds for Partial Periods: We do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period, but you will not receive a refund for the unused portion. We offer a 7-day free trial so you can fully evaluate our service before any charges.
- False or Duplicate Charges: If you are incorrectly charged due to technical errors, system glitches, or duplicate billing, you may provide proof (e.g., bank statement, Stripe receipt, account history) and we will issue a full refund immediately. We take billing accuracy very seriously and will resolve any false charges within 48 hours of receiving proof.
- Billing Errors and Technical Issues: In cases of billing errors, technical failures that prevent service access, or other exceptional circumstances, we may issue refunds at our sole discretion. Contact our support team to request a review.
- How to Request a Refund: Email team@portfolio-iq.online with "Refund Request" in the subject line, including your account email and reason for the refund. Refund requests are processed within 5-7 business days.
- Refund Method: Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the subscription within 7-10 business days.
5.4 Cancellation
- Anytime Cancellation: Cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
- End of Billing Period: Access continues until the end of your paid period after cancellation
- No Future Charges: Once cancelled, you will not be charged for future billing periods
- Data Retention: Account data retained for 90 days after cancellation
- No Cancellation Fees: No penalties or fees for cancelling your subscription
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 Financial Losses
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INVESTMENT LOSSES, TRADING LOSSES, OR FINANCIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND. This includes but is not limited to:
- Losses from investment decisions made using our platform
- Damages from inaccurate or delayed market data
- Missed opportunities due to system outages
- Losses from calculation errors or software bugs
6.2 Service Limitations
- Maximum Liability: Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim
- No Consequential Damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- Data Loss: We are not liable for data loss, though we maintain backups
7. Intellectual Property

- Platform Ownership: We own all rights to our platform, algorithms, and software
